World Impacting Church Ministries is a non-denominational, spirit-filled, bible believing church that was planted in Elk Grove, California in 2001 by Pastor Eric L. Fortier with the assistance of Bishop Donald Green and our sister church San Francisco Christian Center. 

On the first Tuesday in March of 2001, Pastor Eric along with his wife Patricia, their 3 children and 1 member held their first weekly Bible Study. Three additional guest attended that night, and one made a commitment for Jesus Christ.  In August of 2001 the first Sunday service was held at Harriet Eddy Middle School. In October of 2002 World Impact Church (former name) relocated to it’s current worship location which affords us a better opportunity to minister more effectively to our partners and the community. 

Since beginning in 2001 the church has expanded it’s ministries to include a Men’s Ministry, Women’s Ministry, Marriage Ministry, Children & Nursery Ministry, Youth Ministry, Young Adult Ministry, New Believer’s Class, Music and Drama Ministry, Outreach/Food Pantry, Audio/Visual Ministry, weekly Television Broadcast and a weekly bible study in Fairfield, California.  The church also has been able to assist many families in need and organizations in the Sacramento area and also contribute relief efforts to 2004 Tsunami victims and Hurricane Katrina victims.

In 2003 Rev. William Pennington, a dear friend and Pastor of our sister church, Joy in Christ Christian Center of Fairfield California passed away suddenly and Pastor Eric was asked and without reservation agreed to assist that church during that very difficult time.  For a year and half Pastor Eric remained there as interim pastor and the bond grew strong between he and their congregation.  Although at times the assignment was very challenging with the traveling between the two churches and preaching, Pastor Eric sensed it to be in God’s will to stay on.  And after a time of fasting & prayer, Pastor felt the call to remain and pastor there and in 2005 Joy in Christ merged with World Impact Church and thus became 1 church in 2 locations. 

In early 2006 our pastor sensed the need to change the name to World Impacting Church Ministries, to best reflect the concept of a continual and ongoing fulfilling of the churches’ vision.  The ministry continues to grow and many are being spiritually equipped and lives transformed through the life changing gospel of Jesus Christ that is taught here each week.

- A place that Highly Committed to becoming a missionary distribution center (church) — sending missionaries and church workers into our community, our state, our nation, and our world.

- A place where its members are Highly Committed to Changing people through, how they live for God, how they work for God, how they recruit for God and how the disciple/teach for God.
